House Demolition Photo Album

The SAE house in Brookings came down Monday, April 11, starting at about 8:20 a.m.  Ross Kotewa '10 captured the still photography.  The house burned Feb. 15, 2010.

While the home to SAE for 37 years came down, planning continues to build in Greek Village with completion planned for either the fall of 2012 or early 2013.  A printed newsletter is to be in the mail by this weekend spelling out as many details as we have.

With the still photography of the demolition, note a Phoenix near the end of the images, a Phoenix that had been painted on the south wall of the basement at the bottom of the stairs by Jeremy Shoemaker '07, now living in Plankinton.  The Phoenix is visible through many of the images and serves as a vivid reminder that SAE will rise from these ashes and rubble.
